The Sheet Metal Workers' Local 73 Annuity Plan is designed to supplement a participant's monthly retirement income. The Plan allows a participant the ability to self-direct their annuity contributions into investment alternatives of their own choosing. As of May 31, 2007 the Plan had over 3,700 participants with account balances of over $132 million.

The Annuity Plan is financed entirely by employer contributions and investment income. The contributions that are made on your behalf by a contributing employer, and the investment income that is earned on these contributions, are not taxable to you as income until you begin making withdrawals from your account.
